COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
TreeTop has been developed on family land, with the support of local villagers. Before it was developed, the land was looked after by a poor caretaker and his family. Not only were they, and other local villagers, given jobs during the development of the site, but they continue to be employed by TreeTop and are responsible for running and managing the farm to this day. Even the female members of the family were involved from the early stages of the project and were in charge of catering for the staff. Not only has this given them the financial support and empowerment but it has enabled them to develop key skills and training. This land is not only our home, but our employees see it as their home too because they have been involved from the very beginning. For them, this is their pride and they love welcoming guests to their village. Since our opening, we have been committed to helping the local economy and see it as an integral part of our growth.
As a family, we have always wanted to help and support others in whatever we do. The villagers are our extended family and we could not be more proud of how far they have come in terms of the service they provide to our guests. We want to extend this to other villagers, especially local artisans. We want to maintain and continue the traditions of local handicrafts and cooking especially.
If you know of a family or small business that you think could benefit from a partnership, we are open to opportunities. Please get in touch with us.
